ACE - Automotive Inspection Services

The RHA has launched a revised vehicle inspection service which brings to members a truly independent arrangement for monitoring the condition of vehicles and performance of service providers.

The use of such a scheme has seen steady growth over the last 18 months, with members utilising experienced engineers to support the work of their own maintenance providers, whether in house or third party. The importance for hauliers to ensure vehicle compliance with controlled costs has always been a major concern. With the now increased enforcement activity being conducted by VOSA, the need for an independent view of vehicle condition and the service provided by the maintenance provider becomes ever more important.

Automotive Consulting Engineers (ACE) have for many years been working with the RHA by providing expert investigation and reporting, primarily in the area of component failure, warranty and repair disputes and end of lease inspection. Due to the success of this work and positive feedback from members, the RHA has decided to extend the relationship even further with ACE to include Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI), maintenance provider auditing and many other detailed services.

The RHA and ACE have put together a competitive cost effective scheme that has inbuilt savings for all RHA members (existing or new). This will ensure the benefit of savings, in relation to any type of examination that is required.
