Big Logistic Diversity Challenge

Big Logistic Diversity Challenge

The Big Logistic Diversity Challenge (BLDC) is taking place on 20th June at Newark Showground in Nottinghamshire and is an event that is specifically designed to promote the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion across the logistics and warehousing sector.

Through fun physical and mental team-building challenges, industry professionals are brought together to look at how diversity can be tackled in a collaborative way and this year the event’s chosen charity, as in previous years, is Transaid.

This year we are entering two teams to the BLDC, one for employees and the other our members. So if you’d like more information about the event or who like to be a part of our team, please contact Wendy Plimley – HR & Board of Directors Associate, w.plimley@rha.uk.net.

From Last Year's Challenge:

“We had so much fun at the BLDC last year. I had no idea what to expect but we spent most of the day laughing. It was a great way to connect with colleagues and discover hidden talents and we definitely found out who our most competitive colleagues are! I’d encourage everyone to give it a go and it is so important to raise the profile of EDI especially in our Industry.”

“I got the opportunity to attend the BLDC last year, and it was such a cool experience! Loved seeing the diversity within different companies there and hearing real-life stories from people. Definitely made for an awesome day out! Plus getting to see my work colleagues in a totally different setting was a great laugh.”

“The BLDC last year was a fantastic event. It was very well organised and thoroughly enjoyed the day with the RHA team as well as everyone else I met. The activities were amazing with a wide range from learning the Haka to blindfolded face painting. Overall, it was a great day and would definitely take part again”.
