Two colleagues from the RHA are swapping their office chairs for Bike saddles.
Stephen Hards (Head of Programme Management and IT), and Andrew Sylvester (IT Systems Administrator), are both taking part in Transaid’s Newcastle to Edinburgh charity cycle ride. The ride, 159 miles over 2 days of cycling in September, takes in some of the beautiful coastal countryside on the north-east coast of the UK.
“We are not professional cyclists by any stretch of the imagination” says Andrew. “We have both been advocates of the company’s Cycle to Work scheme, however life always seems to be getting in the way of cycling in events like this. We hoping to raise some money, and awareness for our charity partners Transaid, who do some amazing work in Africa around safety in transport, and healthcare. We know this will be a tough challenge, but are very much looking forward to it”
