Recognised trainer qualifications are now a prerequisite for all Driver CPC instructors and are required for many types of other vocational training, our courses are listed as meeting the requirements of many of the UK standards.
SQA Accredited Classroom Train the Trainer Course
Course Length: 6 Days over three weeks or in company over 5 days.
Course Content: 4 Modules: Preparation and Background, Lesson Planning, Effective delivery, Feedback & Evaluation.
This SQA Unit has been designed as an initial qualification for those with limited or no prior experience of delivering training to groups. It is intended for candidates with vocational expertise or subject knowledge whose job role includes the training of others. Examples would include those who will be teaching Driver CPC lessons to lorry and coach drivers or teaching First Aid qualifications. As part of this course candidates will explore the full range of learning styles and gain valuable expert advice on how to best teach their chosen Subject. The course includes an element of self-study and practical teaching elements designed to bring the best leaming experiences.
The course is assessed by completing four outcomes that provide evidence of competence leading to the award of the SQA Certificate in Planning and Delivering Training Sessions to Groups. This qualification is recognised as meeting the standard required for many common vocational courses. The course is suitable for both in-house company trainers as well as those wishing to become or working as independent trainers.
The course outcomes are:
- Explain the trainer’s role in ensuring learners needs are met
- Prepare learning Objectives, session plans and Support materials to meet your learner’s requirements
- Deliver planned interactive training sessions and monitor the progress and achievement of your learners
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the training sessions delivered and develop your own practice
